Bluegrass is the most widely produced turf grass at Bigfoot Turf.  Bluegrass is a fine bladed “foot friendly” turf that has characteristics of excellent sod quality and quick recovery from wear.  It has the ability to fill in damaged or worn areas.  Bluegrass is a deep blue-green colored turf grass and is our region’s most popular ground cover.  Recent improvements in bluegrass seed have made it more drought tolerant than traditional bluegrass varieties.  Bluegrass is aesthetically pleasing and is ideal for homes with dogs or children, parks, and athletic fields.  Bigfoot Turf is committed to raising improved bluegrass varieties suited to this region to ensure that when maintained properly, that your bluegrass will perform year round.
